ENG vs IND 2018 : Test Series - Approaching Milestones

All the major milestones which could be achieved during the Test series between England and India.

The five-Test match series between England and India is starting from 1 August at Edgbaston in Manchester. Number one ranked Test side India will be hoping for their first Test series win on English soil after a gap of 11 years and over the years team, India has played excellent cricket in the whites. India won the all home Test series and won one Test in South Africa as well earlier this year and they'll be eager to show same performance in England too. And here are some milestones which could be achieved during the five Test match series between England and India.  

All the major milestones which could be achieved during the Test series between England and India :

4 - If R Ashwin scores 47 runs and takes 9 wickets in this series, he will become the 4th Indian player to complete the double of 1000 runs and 100 Test wickets away from home after Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. 

14 - If James Anderson takes 14 more wickets in the 5 match Test series against India, he'll become the first bowler to take 100 wickets in England - India Test series. 

26 - Stuart Broad needs 26 more runs to complete 3000 Test runs and he will become the 5th player to complete the double of 3000 Test runs and 400 Test wickets after Kapil Dev, Sir Richard Hadlee, Shane Warne and Shaun Pollock.

45 - Ravichandran Ashwin needs 5 more wickets to complete 50 Test wickets against England. 

93 - Murali Vijay needs 93 more runs to complete 4000 Test runs. He will become the 16th Indian player to reach the landmark of 4000 Test runs.

540 - Number of wickets taken by James Anderson in Test cricket and needs 10 more wickets to become the 2nd fast bowler after Glenn McGrath and 5th overall to take 550 Test wickets. 

977 - Runs scored by Virat Kohli at an average of 44.40 against England and needs 23 more runs to complete 1000 Test runs against them. 

1000 - The first Test match at Edgbaston will be England's 1000th Test match and they'll become the first nation to play 1000 Test matches. 

2893 - Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane needs 107 more runs to become the 22nd Indian player to reach the milestone of 3000 Test runs.

5960 - England captain Joe Root (5960 runs) needs 40 more runs to complete 6000 Test runs. Root will be 15th England player to score 6000 runs in Test cricket.
