Varun Chopra and Virat Kohli last met when they were part of England and India's under-19 national sides. Two young aspiring cricketers, they would never have imagined how the journey will pan out. More than a decade later, having traveled different roads in two cricket systems so unique to each other, they finally met again and it became a moment to cherish.

Virat Kohli is now leading another team that has arrived in England, it is just that he is now regarded the best batsmen in the world and is the captain of India across all formats and is on a really difficult tour trying to achieve glory for the nation. Chopra, who is now 31, has spent the last 12 years building up a reputation as a fine batsman in the county championship in England. He is now a veteran, having played183 first-class matches and scoring 9868 runs with 20 hundreds in them.

The heartwarming moment took place when India took the field to play their only practice match before the Test series against England got underway, Chopra got to catch up with Kohli again. One is a solid batsman who could not really fulfill his early promise while the other is a global superstar. But there was mutual respect and some fond memories were relived.

Varun is delighted having met his old counterpart. He was quoted telling BCCI.tv as, "I have played against Virat in under-19 cricket which was 12 years ago now. So yeah we are just catching up now. It's good to see him after such a long time, And then I was just picking his brain on batting obviously. He is one of the world's best if not the best at the moment. So it's obviously great to talk to him. He's great to talk to and he's very helpful. I will talk to him a bit more specifically about batting."

The video of two players meeting each other was shared by the BCCI through their Twitter handle and it immediately touched everyone.
