Since Adil Rashid dismissed Virat Kohli in the final ODI to help England win the ODI series, speculations regarding his comeback to Test cricket starting getting voice. Discussions and debates followed and finally, Adil Rashid was given a Test recall for the Test series against India. Rashid was included in the England squad for the first Test against India, a move which according to former England skipper Michael Vaughan is ridiculous.
Adil Rashid on his part has called his comments stupid and “do not matter” in his progress as a cricketer.
Earlier, Vaughan in a tweet specified his reaction to Rashid's inclusion into the England Test squad after Rashid said that he will not play red ball cricket till 2019 World Cup.
Rashid's sudden recall has left Vaughan totally surprised regarding this move by the selectors which is why Vaughan came out with a reaction like he did.
In a series of two tweets Vaughan has hit back at Rashid for criticising his comments. Vaughan is someone who is very vociferous regarding his thoughts about England cricket and it was very understandable that he was not going to take Rashid's reply lightly.
