Team India has started their preparation for the upcoming five-Test series against England; by playing a three-day warm up tie against Essex.

India batted first against Essex and despite losing Dhawan for a duck and Rahane (17) and Pujara (1) early; Virat Kohli (68) and opener M Vijay (53) steadied the ship a little with a partnership of 90 runs. Virat Kohli looked in good touch with shots all over the ground.

Virat Kohli had hit 12 fours in his innings and it came to an end when Essex quick Paul Walter had him caught by Varun Chopra. “I still can’t believe it,” Walter reacted to his wicket of Virat Kohli during an interview post stumps on Wednesday.
