The Virat Kohli-led team is currently playing a much-needed practice game against Essex. There is still few days left before India will face England for a 5-match Test series but before the crucial series a practice game to adopt the conditions is no harm.

On the first day, skipper Virat Kohli (68) and Murali Vijay (53) performed well to secure India from getting embarrassed. At one stage, India's scorecard read 44/3 after Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane got out cheaply.

Apart from Kohli and Vijay, KL Rahul scored 58 and Dinesh Karthik( (82*) is batting with Hardik Pandya (33*) as India scored 322/6at the end of first day's play.

Indian opener Dhawan, who got out on duck, was criticized on social media. The cricketer picked a wrong time to post his net-practice video and what funny was his ironic caption.

Fans were quick to spot it and they roasted the southpaw mercilessly.

Here is what Dhawan posted, "Nothing sounds more sweeter than the whack of a cricket ball.????"
