Team India lost the decider against England at Leeds and thereby has lost the first bilateral series under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. This loss also ended India's run of nine consecutive one-day series victories.
India started off the tour beautifully by winning the T20I series. Thereafter they completely outplayed England in the first ODI as Kuldeep Yadav took 6 wickets. England then came back hard in the second game as Joe Root scored a match-winning century.
Came the decider at Leeds and England skipper Eoin Morgan read the pitch beautifully. He won the toss in the decider and asked Team India to bat first. India just managed 256 which England chased down with more than five overs to spare. Root yet again scored an unbeaten ton and added an unbeaten 186 run partnership to help England win a memorable series against India. This defeat just makes things difficult for Team India going into the Test series.
Shikhar Dhawan who did not have a good outing in the England tour has thanked the Indian fans for their continuous support throughout the tournament.
Dhawan scored 144 runs in the ODI series while he scored just 19 in the T20Is. Now being picked in the Test series which was announced earlier today by the Indian selectors, Dhawan would like to get some important runs for Team India in the Test series against England which starts from August 1. Dhawan has been included in the Indian Test squad for the first three Tests.

Big thanks to all our wonderful fans especially here in UK who turned up in huge numbers to support us. We gave our best. But we have to channelize our energies to learn from our mistakes. We win some, we lose some but the Grind never stops. ???????? #TeamIndia #ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/RHzlfYRbSX
