England and India will engage in the third and final deciding ODI to determine the winner of the ODI series which currently stands at one all. The third match will be played at Headingley.

While India won the first match quite convincingly at Nottinghamshire by 8 wickets thanks to a century by Rohit Sharma and six-wicket haul by Kuldeep Yadav; England came back beautifully thanks to a brilliant century by Joe Root and four wickets by Liam Plunkett at Lord’s.

In the same match, England opener Jason Roy had injured his finger while attempting to catch a ball and went off the field with a laceration on his finger. Roy didn’t return to the field as Dawid Malan came on as a substitute.

Now ECB has confirmed that Jason Roy will have a fitness test on his finger before given the green light to play against India.

ECB also confirmed that wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings had been called up as batting cover for Roy.
