India lost the second ODI to England as Joe Root’s century gave England a decent advantage to their bowlers, as the pitch at Lord’s slowed down and they stifled the Indian chase with regular wickets.
However, amidst the gloom, there was a ray of sunshine for the Indian fans as MS Dhoni reached two personal milestones in ODI cricket. First, during the England batting, MS Dhoni completed 300 catches in the format, when he caught Jos Buttler off Hardik Pandya and became the first Indian wicketkeeper and fourth wicket-keeper overall to do so after the likes of Kumar Sangakkara (383), Mark Boucher (402) and Adam Gilchrist (417).
When he came out to bat, MS Dhoni also completed his 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. With it, he became the first Indian keeper and second overall after Kumar Sangakkara to achieve this feat. He was the fifth fastest batsman to reach this milestone and second fastest according to balls faced.
He is also the fourth Indian batsman to do so after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.
Twitter was celebrating their favorite MS Dhoni’s achievements of 10,000 runs and we have some of the best tweets for you.

Forget the situation the game is in, for a batsman who has played at no 6 for the greater part of his career, to score 10k runs is staggering.
