Kuldeep Yadav must be on cloud nine as his England tour is getting brighter and brighter. After picking a fifer in the first T20I and winning the Man of the match for his efforts in gaining India the lead in T20I series, he has repeated his feat and even went one step further.

In the first ODI of the 3-match series, Kuldeep Yadav picked 6/25 to rattle the England batting lineup, who was looking good for a score of 320 and stopped them at 268. Kuldeep removed both the openers Roy and Bairstow in quick succession and also removed Joe Root. Then he came back to removed the dangerous Buttler, Root, and Ali to complete his six wickets.

His performance of 6/25 was the best figures by any left-arm spinner in ODI history, the best by any spinner in England, the best by a left-arm chinaman bowler in ODIs and fourth best figures by an Indian in ODI cricket.

Kuldeep won the Man of the match for his effort, as India won the match by 8 wickets, thanks to an unbeaten 137 by Rohit Sharma and 75 by Virat Kohli.
