Kuldeep Yadav has had a dream start to his first tour of England. Having befuddled them with his beautifully classical wrist-spin in the first T20 International in Manchester, he reaffirmed his class in the first ODI at Trent Bridge. The 23-year-old followed his majestic spell of 5-24 across 4 overs, with the reiteration of just how good he is via a 6-25 from 10 overs in Nottingham. 

Kuldeep is having a great time in England. The youngster understands this could very well be the breakthrough tour for him as an all-formats bowler in Indian Cricket. Kuldeep is meant for great things. 

Speaking after the mat in the post-match press conference Kuldeep was quoted saying, “I am enjoying English conditions. It’s perfect for any spinner who is spinning the ball, It is a good thing I didn’t play (in the final T20), that’s why today the performance was good"

Kuldeep didn't play the T20I series decider in Bristol after a not-so-good game in Cardiff. He talked about this as well and said, “Sometimes you are not able to perform and then you realise where you have made mistakes or gone wrong. So when I played in Cardiff I looked at where I went wrong, maybe I was not able to read the batsmen properly and it happens.”

Kuldeep gives credit to the environment he has grown-up in for his outstanding development, as he said, “Whatever cricket I played in growing years, I played on cement wickets and I used to turn the ball there. So I am very grateful to be playing on turning tracks now, I am very lucky. You should have the ability to turn the ball, in your fingers, and you can put in body effort, pivot, finger release, if all that is good the ball will turn"

“If it is turning on this wicket then it will turn everywhere else. In your heart, you cannot be afraid that you will get hit and you cannot be under pressure.”
