India and England are currently battling for supremacy in the first ODI of the 3-match series. England is at the top position in the ICC rankings, while India sits just behind at number two. This series in many ways will decide which team is currently the best in the world in the 50 overs format.

England got off to a great start against the Indian seamers Umesh Yadav, Siddharth Kaul and Hardik Pandya, but the scene took a drastic turn once the wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were brought into the attack by Virat Kohli. Chahal bowled couple of economical overs, but it was Kuldeep who turned the game around in very little time.

The left arm wrist spinner picked up the England openers and Joe Root in his first couple of overs as England slumped from 73/0 to 82/3. The merlyn bowling machine didn't bring about the kind of results the home team were expecting as all the batsmen seemed clueless against Kuldeep.

England had smashed the world record for the highest ever team total of 481/6 just three weeks back against Australia, but are currently up in a fight for survival as Chahal, Kuldeep and Suresh Raina tighten the screws on them.

Kuldeep's triple strike was hailed on Twitter by cricket experts. Here are some of the tweets:
