KL Rahul has become the subject to talk about as India's much-awaited tour of England has finally got a start. It was a dream start for Team India in Manchester as two of their players who are expected to play a key role for India in the tour made an impact in the very first game of the series.

While Kuldeep went on to take 5 wickets, KL Rahul smashed an unbeaten ton, the second of his T20I career to give a glimpse of the Indian dominance.

Former Indian skipper in his recent column for TOI, has said that KL is the next big thing of Indian cricket. Highly impressed by his knock, Gavaskar said on Rahul  “Then came a mini-masterpiece from the bat of someone who is going to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. Right from his debut when he squared up against Mitchell Johnson on the last tour of Australia, KL Rahul has looked a class apart. The ease with which he tore into the English bowling was breathtaking and even had the Indian skipper clapping"

This came after Kuldeep earlier bamboozled England batsmen in the first innings. Regarding Kuldeep Gavaskar quoted  “What they didn’t anticipate was the magic of Kuldeep Yadav, who quite literally had the English batsmen like puppets on a string. The deliveries with which he drew Bairstow and Joe Root forward, playing for the wrong turn, brought a hearty laugh from those who know of English batsmen’s struggles against wrist spin. Chahal perhaps wasn’t able to grip the new ball and so wasn’t at his best but Kuldeep, brought in when Buttler was rampaging, changed the game in a jiffy. It was magical".

Two young Indian cricketers amalgamating together for a thumping Indian win is a sign of good things to come as per Gavaskar who says that the youngsters will only improve inn England as they play ahead in the series.
