India began its English sojourn on a positive note by defeating England in the first T20I match at Manchester. Thanks to Kuldeep Yadav’s fifer and KL Rahul’s scintillating century; India handed an 8 wickets defeat to England.

However, before the series began, India had suffered two blows in Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah being ruled out of the limited overs squad due to injuries. Bumrah was ruled out of just the T20I matches and was supposed to return for the ODI series and the subsequent five-match Test series. Sundar, on the other hand, was ruled out of the entire limited overs series altogether.

Deepak Chahar was roped in to replace Bumrah and Krunal Pandya replaced Washington Sundar in the India squad.

However, now Jasprit Bumrah shared an image of himself on a plane with a message “will be back soon” on his Instagram story.

This puts a big question mark over his availability for the Indian team in the upcoming three-match ODI series against England.
