Chris Jordan the English paceman, has received applause from England Lions' head coach Mark Ramprakash for his sensational outing in the ongoing six-match tri-series, featuring India A and West Indies A as well at home. The ongoing series will be the great preparation for Jordan before heading to England’s Vitality T20 International matches against India next month. His stunning bowling display will be a great sign for Eoin Moran before play Virat Kohli and his team at home.

The 29-year-old has come up with the match-winning spell, as the pacer ended with three for 25 from eight overs to help the Lions to open One Day Tri-series campaign with a victory against Indian on Friday.

Later, Jordan once again returned with a match-changing spell against the West Indies, dismissing the dangerous Jermaine Blackwood for 40 with his fifth ball and then trapping Devon Thomas lbw to complete a double wicket maiden in Derby on Saturday.

As per reports in ECB's official website Ramprakash said of Jordan, “I can’t speak highly enough of how he has gone about his business, on and off the field. In CJ, we’ve seen someone who’s very comfortable in his own skin. He’s shown great maturity, he’s spoken well in team meetings; he’s got great experience now with several IPL competitions behind him.”

He signed off by saying, “His action and run-up is very smooth, he’s been very accurate, he’s bowled with good pace, obviously he’s an excellent fielder and he can bat. So he’s the sort of cricketer that any team would want. We’re sorry to see him go, although obviously, we understand that’s one of the roles of the Lions, playing our part to get players ready to perform for England.”
