Over the past few years, PCB has used the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to restore international cricket back home.

In 2017, Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore hosted the tournament's final while four games were held in Lahore and Karachi in the subsequent year. The season held last season had eight games played in Karachi alone.

For the 2020 edition, it has been decided that the entire competition will be held in Pakistan. Four venues – Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Rawalpindi will host 34 games between them.

A total of 36 foreign players will feature in PSL 2020 for six franchises – Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi.

Despite the improved security condition, England batsman Alex Hales seems to be scared in Pakistan.

Hales, who will play for Karachi Kings in the T20 league, shared a cheeky message on his Instagram story on Thursday (February 19) after seeing smoke coming out of the stadium.

The English opener clicked a picture of the smoke and wrote: “Looks promising.”
