Glenn Maxwell is famous for his funky cricketing shots. The Australia batsman tries out of the box shots to unsettle the bowler mentally. It works in his favor most of the time, but on Saturday (January 18), Maxwell couldn't succeed.

In a game between Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers, Maxwell tried to reverse scoop off Matthew Kelly but ended up giving an easy catch to wicket-keeper.

Maxwell, who is currently the sixth-highest run-getter in BBL 2019-20, was upset with himself for not sending it over the Perth's wicket-keeper Josh Inglis. The 31-year-old got out on 25 runs and became the third wicket of Kelly. 

The shot might not have come good, but Maxwell's side still managed to win the game despite only 141 runs on the board. They restricted Scorchers on 131/9 as Nick Maddison picked up three wickets. Maxwell himself bagged a wicket in three overs he bowled.
