Melbourne Renegades' cricketer Tom Cooper took a stunning catch on the boundary to light up BBL even more.
Stunning catches on the boundary line have become common these days with almost every game producing a similar catch near the ropes. Tom Cooper took a similar catch dismissing Adelaide Strikers’ batsman Philip Salt.
Cooper was guarding the deep mid-wicket fence when Salt smashed a delivery from Jack Wildermuth towards him. He caught the ball, tossed it in the air as he stepped inside the boundary, regained balance, came back into the field and completed the catch.

The Strikers went on to score 173/6 in their 20 overs with the help of Jonathan Wells (58 off 38) and Matthew Short (41 off 28). The Renegades had a poor day with the bat as only opener Shaun Marsh (21) and Beau Webster (49) got to double figures. They were bowled out for 110 in 17.4 overs and lost the match by 63 runs. Wells was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’.
With the win, the Strikers went up to grab the third position as Renegades continue to be at the bottom of the table after losing all of their 9 games.
