Fans got to witness a nail-biting finish on Sunday when two mighty sides of Indian domestic cricket, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu faced each other in the final of the Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy. The game went to the last ball and after lots of see-saws, we finally got to know the winner with a thriller finish.
Karnataka defended 180 and won the match by just a run. They managed to pull off the game when Tamil Nadu needed just 5 off the last four balls.

It was Tamil Nadu's R Ashwin who hit back-to-back fours on the first two balls of last over bowled by Krishnappa Gowtham. He was pumped! Ashwin was so sure that he even celebrated after the second boundary. But it backfired.
Ashwin had his 'Mushtafiqur Rahim' moment. Rahim had jumped in joy after hitting a couple of boundaries against India in World T20 2016 but Bangladesh bottled the game on the next three deliveries to lose the game.
Not only Rahim, fans even saw an MS Dhoni in Ashwin. Apart from those two fours, he was batting with helmet against the spinner, which we often see with Dhoni.
Ashwin gave fans a glimpse of three cricketers in him. When he was bowling in the first innings, the off-spinner removed KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal off consecutive deliveries in the fifth over. He celebrated the wicket by sprinting like Imran Tahir of South Africa.
Overall, it was a very entertaining game that turned the day to super Sunday for the fans.
