Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is looking determined to make a comeback to the side after being sacked recently. He scored a ton after five years in domestic cricket. 

Sarfaraz was failing to give positive results to Pakistan's cricket under his leadership. Even with the bat, he was mostly silent and that made the team management take a harsh call on him.

The management also made clear that he can come back to the side by performing in the domestic cricket. Sarfaraz is working on his return. He smashed a hundred playing for Sindh against Western Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on Wednesday.

Sarfaraz scored 131 runs off 174 deliveries which included 13 boundaries. He stitched up a partnership of 278 runs with Fawad Alam for the fifth wicket. 

Sindh posted 486 runs in the first innings in reply to Western Punjab's 517. The in-form batsman Fawad scored a double hundred (211) in 309 balls. He had 25 boundaries in his innings. 

"I was waiting for such big innings because it boosts your confidence. Domestic cricket is the best platform for a player to regain his form,” Ahmed said after the century. 

Sarfaraz is taking this break from international cricket positively. “Sometimes it’s good to have a break from international cricket. Domestic [cricket] allows you to be free from all kinds of pressure and concentrate on your form. I’m hopeful of making a comeback but at the moment all my focus is on playing cricket at domestic tournaments and do well,” he added.
