Baroda veteran Yusuf Pathan took a stunning one-handed catch against Goa on the opening day of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Yusuf failed to open his account with the bat but his catch more than made up for it.

Baroda won the toss and opted to bat first in Vizag, but could only put up 149/9 on the board in their 20 overs. Swapnil Singh registered his maiden T20 half-century. Goa lost few early wickets but chased down the target with the help of Suyash Prabhudessai's unbeaten 60.

Coming back to the catch, Yusuf's younger brother, Irfan Pathan shared a video of the catch on his Twitter page. He wrote, "Is it a bird ? No this is @yusuf_pathan Great catch today lala. All ur hard work in pre season is paying off #hardwork @BCCI @StarSportsIndia"

Afghanistan captain, Rashid Khan who happens to be a teammate of Yusuf in the IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, saw the video and appreciated the quality of the catch while adding it took some 'pathan power' which helped the 36-year-old all-rounder to hold onto the catch. He wrote, "Absolutely stunner @iamyusufpathan Bhai . Ye Pathan k hath hai thakur"

Irfan agreed to the assessment of the wrist-spinner who has already broken several records in his short international career. He wrote in his reply, "Haha sahi kaha pathano ke hath or wrist mein jaadu hay..."
