Mitchell Marsh might miss out on Tests against Pakistan due to a freak injury to his hand after hitting the dressing room wall in frustration.

The younger of the Marsh brothers was leading Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield. On the final day of the game, he got out in the first over and was understandably frustrated and angry at himself. However, he could not control himself in the moment and punched a wall in the WACA dressing room after the dismissal.

In the process, he has injured his hand and might be out of the Test series against Pakistan next month. Western Australia coach and former cricketer Adam Voges was not happy with the behaviour and expressed his disappointment to the reporters.

He said, “It's disappointing that any Western Australian player has subjected himself to potentially missing games of cricket because of a moment of madness, particularly your captain. It's not appropriate from any Western Australian cricketer, let alone the skipper.

We understand the frustrations that come from high-profile and high-performance sport but, look, he needs to be better. Mitch is a good person. This is one moment of frustration that hopefully doesn't cost him a long period out of the game, but it might do, and it's something that he needs to address,” he added.

The reports have not confirmed the tenure of his treatment or the expected date by which he will be fit to play. However, if he gets fit in time, he surely will be one of the probables for the Test team.
