The advent of T20 leagues has given rise to amazing efforts in the field. The changes in the standards of the fielding have been seen at the domestic level as well. The internet is filled with videos of players making impossible looking catches a reality in various T20 leagues around the world.

Something similar was seen in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in a match between Maharashtra and Railways. Rahul Tripathi pulled off a blinder with one hand and completed a stunning relay catch. Railways batsman Manjeet Singh would have been very assured that his straight hit off Vishal Gite would easily cross the ropes.

However, as the ball was sailing across the ropes, Tripathi dived towards it and caught the ball mid-air with one hand. The momentum was taking him across the boundary and showing the presence of mind, he threw the ball to his teammate inside the field of play and an amazing catch was completed.

Rahul Tripathi will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2019 starting from March 23.
