Cheteshwar Pujara is living a charmed life it seems in the ongoing Saurashtra vs Karnataka semifinal of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.  

Pujara, who was the Man of the Series in the four-Test series against Australia for three centuries and was one of the biggest reasons why India won their first ever Test series win down under.

Pujara joined Saurashtra in their quest for Ranji Trophy win in the quarterfinal match against UP. He scored 11 runs in the first innings, but scored 67 in the second innings, helping Saurashtra break the record of the highest chase in Ranji Trophy, by eclipsing the target of 372 runs.

In the ongoing semifinal against Karnataka, Pujara was already under fire for not walking after edging the ball in the first innings. He went onto make 45 runs before falling to Abhimanyu Mithun.

Luck shined on Pujara again in the second innings, as he nicked one behind to the keeper when he was batting on 34 from 70 balls and Saurashtra on 68/3. R Vinay Kumar and keeper S Sharath made quite an appeal to the umpire.

However, the umpire was in no mood to give that one out and Pujara stood his ground. Vinay Kumar literally pleaded for the umpire to give the decision in his favor, but he had to return empty-handed.
