Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya made a return to cricket after recovering from injury. He replaced Babashafi Pathan, also an all-rounder, in the Baroda team for their match against Mumbai.
Hardik was out for almost three months after suffering a back injury during the 2018 Aisa Cup. The Baroda cricketer is playing Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai. The game is crucial for Pandya to regain his place in team India.
He has kicked off well in the game with a fifer. He added three wickets on Thursday and ended with an impressive five-wicket haul for 81 runs. Mumbai scored 465 in the first innings.
Twitterati was impressed with Pandya's performance and they even called for his inclusion in the remaining two Test matches against Australia.
India is currently playing the second Test against Australia. They have already won the first one. The third and fourth Test will be played on December 26 and next year on January 3.
