When you step into the cricket field, it is foolish to give the opposition any chance that too by your carelessness. The game has become so competitive that even 0.1% chances are now converted for maximum output. A sloppy misfield or careless running between the wickets have always haunted the team in the end. 

A similar incident happened during the Ranji Trophy match between Himachal Pradesh and Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla.

The Delhi batsman Gautam Gambhir was dismissed because of his lethargic running. He had to walk back just because of a frame in replay which went against him. Had the southpaw put little more effort, he would have crossed the safety line with ease.

Gambhir had to walk back on 49 in an attempt to run two off the fast bowler Rishi Dhawan's delivery after Hiten Dalal played one down to the leg side.

The throw was accurate and Dhawan did well to collect the ball and dislodge the bails even though he was standing in front of the wicket.

Replays showed that Gambhir’s bat was on the line and he had to lose his wicket. In first innings, the left-hander was dismissed on 44.
