WATCH: Anmolpreet Singh’s spectacular catch leaves Mandeep Singh spellbound

India’s premier first-class tournament Ranji Trophy finally kicked off on Thursday (November 1), with 17 matches being played in the first round.

Among a list of matches, the Punjab side led by the young Mandeep Singh is taking on Andhra in Visakhapatnam. Although the matches are not being televised, fans still got the glimpse of a spectacular catch from Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh to dismiss the Andhra batsman Bodapati Sumanth.

On Saturday (November 3), Punjab skipper Mandeep shared a video of that stunning grab by Anmolpreet and termed it as the best catch he has ever seen.

During the 77th over of the match, Anmolpreet made a brilliant dive on the edge of the boundary line to grab the ball from one hand.

"I have never seen a catch like this! Probably the best catch ever.. simply outstanding #Anmolpreetsingh oh nhi mukabla Tera shera @anmol10439552," Mandeep wrote on Twitter.

Coming to the match, Punjab rode on Mandeep's 66, Shubman Gill's 56 and Sanvir Singh’s 110 to put 414/10 on the board in the first innings. In reply, Andhra got off to a shaky start but Ricky Bhui scored a magnificent century to help them post 327/5 at stumps on Day 3.
