Nitish Rana went for 13, Dhruv Shorey made 31 in 66 balls, while Himmat Singh top-scored with 41 in 65 balls. Pawan Negi hit 21 and Subodh Bhati hit 25 to give some impetus in death overs to take Delhi to 177 in 45.4 overs.

Dhawal Kulkarni picked 3/30 and Shivam Dube picked 3/29, while Tushar Deshpande picked two wickets for Mumbai.

Mumbai’s chase started with Prithvi Shaw giving ode to birthday boy Virender Sehwag with a first ball four, but soon collapsed to 40/4, as Shaw (8), Iyer (7), Suryakumar Yadav (4) and Rahane (10) all fell in succession with Navdeep Saini picking 3/53 in his 10 overs.

All seemed lost, but Siddhesh Lad scored 48 in 68 balls with four fours and 2 sixes to put up 105 runs with Aditya Tare, who made 71 in 89 balls with 13 fours and 1 six to stabilize the Mumbai innings and put them on the path to victory.
