MS Dhoni to feature in Vijay Hazare trophy quarterfinals for Jharkhand

Earlier, it was said that the Indian wicket-keeper will keep himself away from the tournament.

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is expected to play the knock-outs of Vijay Hazare Trophy for his state team Jharkhand. Initially, it was said that the 37-year-old won't be a part of the tournament but seems like he has changed his mind after Jharkhand qualified for the quarter-finals.

While Indian team is playing Test cricket, Dhoni has been training with the Jharkhand team after Asia Cup 2018.

Dhoni couldn't continue his form from Indian Premier League and was seen struggling lately with the bat. He hasn't managed to score with a good pace in the middle overs.

All the knock-out games will be played in Bengaluru. Rohit Sharma may also join the Mumbai side for the quarterfinal matches.

Jharkhand has done well in their group, Elite Group C, and they are currently at number two spot with an equal number of wins as group topper Haryana. 

For Jharkhand, the top scorer is rising star Ishan Kishan. he has scored 356 runs in six innings with an average of 59.33. With the ball, it's Shahbaz Nadeem who has picked 20 wickets with a record figure of 8/10.
