Gautam Gambhir smashed his List A career-best score, 151 off just 104 in Delhi's recently concluded game against Kerala. While many teams struggled against them, including Delhi, in the past to go over 200 runs mark, the Gambhir led side scored 392/3 in their 50 overs.

When Kerala and Delhi had last faced each other in Dharamsala, the latter were bowled out on just 177 runs and later failed to defend it as Kerala won the game by 2 wickets.

However, a humongous total by Delhi this time ensured that their bowlers have enough backup in form of runs. Delhi restricted Kerala on just 227/8 in 50 overs to win the game by 165 runs.

The talking point from the game among all was Gambhir's 151-run carnage. What was interesting that the veteran cricketer himself walked back to the pavilion without getting dismissed. He was 'retired out' in order to give other youngsters he rates high a proper opportunity in last 10 overs.

Dhruv Shorey ended up scoring 99* and Pranshu Vijayran added 48* runs in 34 balls to utilize the given chance. Nitish Rana, who is among Gambhir's favorite list of players, couldn't grab the opportunity and was dismissed on just four.
