The official account of International Cricket Council (ICC) ended up triggering the Indian fans after they called Ben Stokes a greater cricketer than Sachin Tendulkar. It was obviously a cheeky tweet, but fans didn't take it well.
Tendulkar was present at the Lord's for the summit clash where he was invited to give away the Man of the Match award to Ben Stokes for his match-defining 84* off 98 balls not out. Stokes played a huge role in England's win over New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 final.
The picture of them together was posted by ICC where they wrote, “The greatest cricketer of all time – and Sachin Tendulkar.”
It was a matter of time before the Indian fans took offense of it and slammed ICC. Here is the reaction:
