Indian captain Virat Kohli thanked the Indian cricket fans for their extensive support throughout the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales after their dream of winning third coveted title shattered with an 18-run loss to New Zealand at Manchester on Wednesday (July 10).

The Black Caps stunned the title favorites Men in Blue in a thrilling World Cup 2019 semi-finals to seal a place for the summit clash on 14th July at Lord’s, and Kohli said the team was just as disappointed with the defeated but thanked the fans for making it a memorable tournament with their love and support.

After the painful defeat in Manchester, Kohli went on his official social media handle to share a picture of the national team with a heartfelt message for the Indian supporters on Wednesday.

His Twitter post reads, “Firstly I want to thank all our fans who came in huge numbers to support the team. You made it a memorable tournament for all of us & we definitely felt the love showered upon the team. We are all disappointed & share the same emotions as you. We gave everything we had. Jai Hind,”
