Rohit Sharma may have failed with the bat in the semifinal against New Zealand in the World Cup 2019, but he won hearts with his gesture to Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja had completed his half-century and was doing his sword celebration. He then went on to ask where his critics are.
What followed after Jadeja's gesture was priceless. Rohit told him he is strong. He pointed a finger at him and then at his biceps.
Jadeja, who was the highest scorer for India with 77, put up a good show with the bat which played a huge role in India's recovery after being 6 down on just 92. He and MS Dhoni (50) put up a partnership worth 116 runs. It looked like India's game then but a wicket in consecutive overs left them struggling for the rest of the runs. In the end, India fell 18 runs short and failed to make it to the final.
