India was defeated by 18 runs against New Zealand in the semi-final match while chasing 240. It was a close game and at one stage the fans believed MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja would take them over the line. However, it didn't happen. After Jadeja got out, Dhoni followed him.
It was heartbreaking for the Indian fans and what made it even worse is Dhoni's tears after his dismissal.
The game was done when Martin Guptill ran Dhoni out with 25 needed off 10 balls. It was the third ball of the over when the Indian wicket-keeper batsman called for two and eventually fell inches short of the crease.
The video of Dhoni's reaction while walking back to the crease is doing rounds and fans just can't look at it as it is very emotional for them.
