India did not really have a great day on Tuesday, 9th July, as Virat Kohli first lost the toss to New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and then the first World Cup 2019 semi-final went into the reserve day (Wednesday, 10th July) with rain playing spoilsport in Manchester.

However, Indian bowlers dominated that Black Caps batsmen, but Yuzvendra Chahal struggled to deliver, as the leg-spinner proved the most expensive bowler for the Men in Blue on Tuesday, conceding 63 runs in his quota of 10 overs, resulting the Kiwis aggregated 211/5 in 46.1 overs before rain stopped the play here in Manchester.

In his spell, Chahal was not seen hitting the right channels consistently, as the spinner not only gave away eight wides, but Colin de Grandhomme and Ross Taylor have stolen 18 runs off his final over as well.

However, Chahal finally got a moment to cherish on the day and gave big wicket to India, as the leg-spinner got the prized scalp of Williamson (67 off 95 balls) in 36th over to halt the flow of runs of the Black Caps here. He could prove very costly for India as the captain first added 68 with Henry Nicholls and then stitched a 65-run partnership with Ross Taylor for the third wicket as well.

Meanwhile, Williamson mistimed his shot and hit Chahal delivery for an expansive drive through the covers, but he could only get the outer edge of the willow and sliced the ball to backward point and Ravindra Jadeja made the most of his position and took a simple catch to send New Zealand captain back to the pavilion.

Following the big wicket, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) came out with a hilarious reaction over Chahal’s prized scalp of the opposition captain.

The KXIP took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote, “Chahal be like… “Pehli fursat mein nikal! (get out in the first instance!)’ #SaddaPunjab #CWC19 #INDvNZ,”
