Mehidy Hasan Miraz 3/10
Mehidy Hasan played 7 matches and picked 6 wickets, far less than what was expected of this talented all-rounder. The right-arm spinner couldn’t manage to bring his best game and support Shakib and Mustafizur.
Tamim Iqbal- 3/10
Tamim Iqbal had a horror World Cup as he managed just 235 runs in 8 matches and just scored a single fifty. He averaged 29.37 and had a strike rate of 71.64, something that is not associated with the dynamic left-hander.
Soumya Sarkar- 2/10
Soumya Sarkar got to open the innings, his preferred position, but he couldn’t take advantage of it. He managed just 166 runs with the highest score of 42. He tried to be aggressive on pitches that were more suited for the grind and seeing off the initial movement in the air and off the pitch. His failure at the top contributed much to Bangladesh’s five losses.
