CWC 2019: Michael Vaughan gets blocked by Sanjay Manjrekar on Twitter

Vaughan had taken a dig at Manjrekar with regards to his comments on Jadeja.

Vaughan, Manjrekar and Jadeja have had quite a banter on Twitter | GettyIt seems like all the trolling has finally got to Sanjay Manjrekar. The former India batsman-turned-media guru was on the receiving end of a brutal rebuttal from Ravindra Jadeja on Twitter recently, after Manjrekar called the all-rounder a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer, of whom, he was not a big fan.

"I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner," Sanjay Manjrekar was quoted as saying by IANS.

To this Ravindra Jadeja took major offense and retorted by tweeting, "Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea . @sanjaymanjrekar.”

India is playing New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019 and a few days before the match, Sanjay Manjrekar had decided to choose his playing XI for the game. In the match, the former India batsman chose Jadeja over Chahal as the spinner. He tweeted, “Trying to predict Indian team for the semis. Let’s see how many I get right. Do send yours too. Will retweet a few. Rohit Rahul Virat Pant Hardik Dhoni Jadeja Bhuvi Shami Kuldeep* Bumrah. *If pitch is not a turner.

However, that selection of Jadeja by Manjrekar didn’t go unnoticed by Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, who tweeted, “I see you have picked that bits and pieces cricketer !!! ????

Now it seems that Vaughan’s quip at Manjrekar, didn’t sit well with the Indian commentator, who seemingly blocked him, as Vaughan tweeted, “BREAKING NEWS .. I have been blocked by @sanjaymanjrekar .. !!! #CWC19
