MS Dhoni’s form and when he will retire are two things that are always hotly debated on news circuits all over the world and amongst the cricket fans. Recently, a news outlet had reported that India’s last match in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 might be the last international assignment for Dhoni as well.

Now the wicket-keeper batsman himself has cleared the air about his retirement and said that he was not sure when he is retiring from the sport but few people wanted him to retire before India's next World Cup game against Sri Lanka. This comes as Dhoni's first reaction to ABP News Network after retirement speculations.

In 8 matches so far in the World Cup, Dhoni has scored 223 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 93. However, he has taken flak for slow batting and lack on the intention on some occasions, especially against England, when he was playing normally while the team needed 100 plus runs in last 10 overs.

Even reputed news agency PTI had reported that India’s final match in the tournament may be Dhoni’s last as well. "If India qualifies for the finals and go on to win the World Cup on July 14 at the Lord's, it would be the ideal setting for a fitting farewell to one of the legends of Indian cricket," a PTI report said on Wednesday. However, there was no official confirmation from either BCCI or Dhoni.

"However, with India qualifying for the semi-finals at the World Cup here, neither the team management nor the BCCI wants to talk about sensitive issue," the PTI report stated.
