CWC 2019: Cricket fraternity cheers Rohit Sharma’s third century in this World Cup

Rohit Sharma got out for 102.

Rohit Sharma | GettyIndia is chasing a stiff target of 338 runs set by the hosts England in the 38th match of the ICC World Cup 2019. Batting first England got off to a flying start with Bairstow making 111 and Roy making 66 as they added 160 runs in 22 overs.

Then Mohammad Shami hit back with three quick wickets and it was only due to Ben Stokes’ 79 that England managed to put up that total. Shami ended up with figures of 5/69, while Bumrah picked 1/44. In reply, India lost Kl Rahul for a duck and Kohli was dismissed after scoring 66 runs. However, Rohit Sharma continued to get his third century of this tournament and was only dismissed for 102 caught behind by Buttler off Woakes with India on 198/3.

The cricket fraternity was amazed by Rohit Sharma’s consistency in making runs in this tournament and applauded him on Twitter. We have some of the best tweets for you.
