Retired cricketer Kevin Pietersen felt the English skipper Eoin Morgan was scared while facing Australian pacer Mitchell Starc during ICC World Cup 2019 match at Lord's.

Pietersen took Twitter to write his thoughts on Morgan's dismissal which came against Starc. After scoring just 4, Morgan top-edged a short delivery from the Aussie pacer which resulted in his wicket.

"Oh no, Eoin Morgan looked scared! That is a Horror Sign!", Pietersen wrote. "The England captain stepping to the square leg when Starc made me think England could have a problem. I hope not, but I've not seen a captain show such a weakness for a while," he added later.

Responding to him, Morgan said, "Really? Excellent. No, no. It didn't feel like that at all." 

England lost the match by 64 runs after they failed to chase 286. They were at 53/4 once. But Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes rebuilt the innings with a 71-run stand. However once Buttler was dismissed, England was ripped apart by Aussie pacers.
