Australia pace legend Glenn McGrath is highly impressed by the performances from India's bowling unit, especially its spearhead Jasprit Bumrah during the World Cup in England and Wales thus far.

McGrath, currently in India for a two-day visit part of MRF Pace Foundation's talent hunt program, told TOI "They were impressive during their tour to Australia and even out-bowled us. I am particularly impressed with Jasprit Bumrah, who bowls fast in a short run up and has a unique action."

The experience and expertise of former skipper MS Dhoni, McGrath reckons, has been of real value to captain Virat Kohli. India has had three wins and a rain-abandoned draw amidst its first four games. The team looks ripe to seal a semi-final berth for itself soon, starting with a highly probable win over Afghanistan in the next game this Saturday (June 22).

"There are talks of his retirement, but Dhoni should keep playing as long as he enjoys the game," McGrath said in Jharkhand - the land of the great wicketkeeper batsman - where he is working with the state's U-20 Ranji, U-23 and U-19 pacers at the JSCA International Stadium complex.

The former Aussie pacer, who scalped 563 Test and 381 ODI wickets during his international career spanning over 14 years, flew in with a battery of experts and analysts on Saturday (June 15) night.

On Monday morning, the bowlers were made to bowl at the nets for over two and a half hours. The whole session was video-recorded. Post lunch, McGrath and the foundation's chief coach M Senthilnathan sat down with each of them.
