Mohammad Amir has once again come up with a sizzling show with the ball in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but Pakistan again failed to make the most of his efforts against India and suffered a record 7th consecutive defeat in the mega ICC event on Sunday, 16th June.

After impressive 5/30 against Australia, Amir made the most of the Manchester track, finished up with impressive figures of 3/47 in his quota of 10 overs, dismissing Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya to stop India from crossing 350-plus mark in a World Cup match on Sunday.

However, India managed to post a massive total of 336 for 5, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s brilliant 140 and impressive fifties from opener KL Rahul and Captain Kohli here.

Chasing 337, the Men in Green collapsed to 166/6 before a rain delay-which saw them a revised target of another 136 runs off 30 balls, but they fell 89 runs short to suffer their seventh consecutive defeat against India in the World Cup here in Manchester.

After the crushing defeat against India, a Pakistani journalist Saj Sadiq shared a post on Twitter, where Amir can be seen angry at some of his national teammates while leaving the field after the match.

The journalist wrote, “Mohammad Amir clearly unhappy with some of his team-mates as he left the field. Lots of head-shaking as he headed towards the dressing-room.”
