Young Indian wicket-keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has arrived in England ahead of much-awaited India-Pakistan World Cup 2019 match on Sunday, 16th June in Manchester.

Pant, who was called up as the cover for injured Shikhar Dhawan, has joined India Cricket Team practice in Manchester, as the team’s official Twitter handle announced the arrival of the Delhi lad in a post which reads: “Look who's here ????#TeamIndia #CWC19”.

Noteworthy, the explosive left-handed batsman was not picked in the initial 15-member squad, lost on the spot to more experienced stand-by wicketkeeper-batsman in Dinesh Karthik, but Dhawan’s injury has finally opened the World Cup doors for the youngster.

The 21-year-old was also seen practicing with MS Dhoni and other team members in Manchester, shown in the social media post of the national team’s official Instagram handle to keep himself ready if an opportunity comes his way.

Meanwhile, Pant also shared a story on his Instagram account on Friday, 14th June and captioned it as "Afternoon tea" and marked the location as Manchester, UK.
