In the twenty-first match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, South Africa will take on Afghanistan at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff today.

South Africa have only one point from four matches and to stay alive in the race of semifinals they have to win all their remaining five matches. South Africa was completely outplayed by their oppositions in all the matches. Players' form and injuries have ruined their campaign and it will be a tough task for them to turn things around.

Openers Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, and Faf du Plessis have to take responsibility and need to score big runs. Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Chris Morris too need to finish the innings on a good note. In the bowling, they have done well so far and the return of Lungi Ngidi will further boost their confidence.

On the other hand, Afghanistan too has been disappointing so far and have lost all their three matches. Their batting has let them down and each of their top order batsmen has struggled against pace and bounce and South African bowlers will also test them with that. Players like Rahmat Shah, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran and Shahidi need to step up and have to play good knocks so that bowlers can have a good score on the board to defend.
