CWC 2019: Shikhar Dhawan quotes lines from Dr. Rahat Indori's poem

Shikhar Dhawan signals his intention of strong comeback with a tweet.

Shikhar Dhawan | GettyNo injury can stop Shikhar Dhawan, as he has made his intentions of making a strong comeback pretty much clear with a tweet on Wednesday, just a day after it was announced that he has been ruled out of the tournament for at least two weeks.

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan posted lines from Dr. Rahat Indori's poem, in a tweet, signaling his indications.

"Kabhi mehek ki tarah hum gulon se udte hain... Kabhi dhuyein ki tarah hum parbaton se udte hain... Ye kainchiyaan humein udne se khaak rokengi... Ke hum paron se nahin hoslon se udte hain," Dhawan tweeted.

Shikhar Dhawan has been kept under observation of Team India physio Patrick Farhart who is working day and night to make sure the batsman recovers quickly and rejoins the team as soon as possible.

BCCI has already asked Rishabh Pant to join the team in place of injured of Dhawan, but so far no official request has been made to ICC.

Pant will join the team on Wednesday and will start with the training straight away. Team Management wants Pant to be match ready if any time they need his services in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Team India will look to recover from the disappointment of losing Dhawan and continue the campaign as they next face New Zealand at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday.

India trail by 3-4 against New Zealand in World Cup history, with their last win against New Zealand 16 years ago in 2003 which was also the last time these two sides met in World Cup.
