In the seventeenth match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 defending champions Australia will take on Pakistan at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.

Australia kicked off their campaign with two back to back wins against Afghanistan and West Indies but in the third and last match, they suffered 36 runs loss against India and will now look to bounce back against Pakistan. Australia's batting and bowling performance have been good so far but opener David Warner hasn't scored runs freely and looked clueless against pace bowling in the last two matches.

He and Aaron Finch need to give a good start and in the middle overs, Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja and Glenn Maxwell can capitalize. In the absence of Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Coulter Nile insted play the finisher's role. In the bowling, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins are in good form but spinner Adam Zampa, Glenn Maxwell and Nathan Coulter Nile have been disappointing so far.

On the other hand, Pakistan had a bad start of their campaign with a big loss against West Indies but they bounced back in the next match and beat England and their third match against Sri Lanka got washed out. Pakistan needs to be more consistent with their performance and the win against England must have given them confidence. Top order batsmen Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, and Babar Azam need to set the platform for middle and lower order batsmen.

All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed, Babar Azam all got the fifties in the last match and will be eying to play big knock against the Aussies. In the bowling, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Hafeez have done well so far and the team will hope that Hassan Ali too will come back among wickets.
