India and Australia are taking on each other in the fourteenth match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at The Oval. Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first on a dry pitch on a clear day in London.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave India a great start as the duo added 127 runs for the opening wicket. Rohit departed for 57 but Dhawan carried on and eventually reached his 17th ODI century before falling for 117. Kohli himself scored a fine 82, this was his 50th ODI half-century.

Hardik Pandya's 48 and MS Dhoni's brisk 27 helped India to finish with a final score of 352/5, the highest-ever against 5-time winners Australia in a World Cup match. Australia's bowlers were lacklustre for most of the day and were smashed by the Indian batters on a lovely pitch for batting.

During Dhoni's cameo, he hit a stunning shot off Mitchell Starc to fetch six runs for the team. Such was the force of the shot, that it left Kohli in awe at the other end and his reaction was quite a priceless one.
