The 12th match of the ICC World Cup 2019 will see England, the hosts take on Bangladesh, the underdogs in an exciting matchup. The match will be played in Cardiff and England have a lot to prove as they lost their previous game to Pakistan, while Bangladesh lost to New Zealand.
England was beaten in their own game by Pakistan, as they exposed a nerve in their game. Pakistan went after their bowling attack from the start and given that the hosts’ team is filled with all-rounders who do a bit of both bowling and batting when the main bowlers got clobbered; the backup proved ineffective. England batting tried to compensate for their bowling but was found well short as they lost quick wickets at the top and even centuries from Root and Buttler couldn't save them
Against Bangladesh, England will have the challenge to face some pretty good spinners on Cardiff wicket. Even the Bangladeshi seamers which include Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin gave lots of trouble to the Proteas and given that England batsmen bat in one gear, wickets may fall easily.
For Bangladesh, the challenge will be to face some really fast bowlers and make runs against them. Jofra Archer may have gone for runs against Pakistan, but Bangladesh players infrequently face such speed and pace under seaming and swinging conditions. Shakib and Mushfiqur, along with Soumya and Tamim will be their key batsmen.
Their spinners and fast bowlers will have a game plan for the ultra-aggressive England batsmen and this will be an entertaining matchup which will either see a close contest between the two sides or a completely one-sided game for one of the sides.
