The ICC World Cup 2019 is scheduled to begin on May 30 and all the ten participating teams will engage in warmup games from May 24. The hosts and hot favorites to win the tournament, England will take on Australia in their first warmup game on May 25 at the Rose Bowl, Southampton.

However, a day before the game, the England team have suffered an injury scare, as captain Eoin Morgan injured his finger during an England Nets Session at The Hampshire Bowl. He was hit on his index finger of his left hand and it has been reported that he will be taken for X-Rays as a precautionary measure. The extent of his injury is unclear, but Morgan looked in quite a discomfort after being hit on the finger and was seen pressing on it.

England are scheduled to play the tournament opener on May 30 against South Africa.
