Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah has responded with pride to his critics after India clinched its record seventh Asia cup title in Dubai on Friday (September 28).

Last year, the 24-year-old received severe criticism for his show with the ball in the final of the Champions Trophy against Pakistan. The speedster dismissed Fakhar Zaman off a no-ball after which the Pakistani opener went on to notch up his maiden ODI century to help the Men in Green comprehensively win the final by a mammoth 180-run margin.

After the title defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Pakistan, the Indian cricket fans went berserk at Bumrah on the social media and even the Jaipur police released an advertisement showing Bumrah’s no-ball in the picture with a caption, “Don’t cross the line, you know it can be costly”.

It made Ahmedabad-born agitated; lashing out at them by saying that they wouldn’t have made fun of their mistakes. Now, he answered his critics with his fantastic display with the ball in the tournament, where he played the key role in India's triumph in the Asia Cup 2018.

He finished the tournament with eight wickets in four matches with best figures of 3/37 at an economy of 3.97. Bumrah was also brilliant with the ball in the final against the Mashrafe Mortaza and his team, as he ended with figures of 8.3-0-39-1 in Dubai on Friday.

After the conclusion of the tournament, Bumrah went on his official Twitter handle to respond his critics for his show in the Champions Trophy final in England. He wrote, “Some people love to use their creativity on the sign boards. Hope this one fits there as well!! #Champions #AsiaCup2018 #lionalwaysroars,”
