India defeated Bangladesh by three wickets in a nail-biting last ball encounter to bag their seventh Asia Cup title at the Dubai International Stadium. Rohit Sharma-led side remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.

They defeated Pakistan twice in a one-sided contest and Hong Kong in the opening game. India also had a game tied against Afghanistan in the Super Four game.

The men in blue faced Bangladesh in the final and it was their second clash with them in this six-nation tournament. India played all teams except Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2018.

After the win, Virat Kohli, who was rested for the tournament, took to Twitter and congratulated the Indian team for their magnificent effort. He was delighted by the results. Kohli didn't miss out on acknowledging Bangladesh's effort as well in his tweet.

"Great job by the guys to win that tight game last night. ✌???? @BCCI Seventh Asia Cup title for us ???????? ???? Congrats to Bangladesh as well for giving a tough fight. @BCBtigers #AsiaCupFinal #AsiaCup2018Final," he wrote.

Kohli will be back in the Indian side for Test series against West Indies starting next month. They will play only two Test matches, the first one is starting from October 4.
